Passed SPHR 1st Time

Herzberg vs Hofstede, Civil Rights Act 1964 vs 1991, NLRB, labor unions vs management ULPs, WARN, and if all that was gibberish to you - then you need this book. Let me start off by saying, I wish I had read this book first! I bought this book after having purchased a couple of other guides and this one is by far the easiest to read and the most practical with down to earth information and strategies. If you plan on taking either the PHR or SPHR exam, then put this book in your arsenal. Obviously, this test is one that requires a significant amount of preparation and the material can get complicated/daunting rather quickly. The book has an easy to read format, good test taking tips, and I found the online resources very helpful though somewhat limited. You get 2 practice PHR exams and 2 practice SPHR exams for online resources. The tests explain the "why this answer is right" without making you feel like a moron, which I appreciated. Also, if you can answer the test prep questions, then you will be able to answer the questions on the real test with easy (prep seemed harder to me than the real thing).

Like the title says, I used this book as a part of my studying process and passed the SPHR test the first time I took it.

I'm studying for my PHR exam. I find this book to be very helpful and similar to my other resources in terms of questions and content. The thing I liked most is that this is concise and easy to follow. I did like the Exam alerts in this book. It kept me focused. This book also included some better explanations than the other book. I used this book heavily for Strategic Management, HRD and Employment. I would strongly recommend this because provides so many onlines resourcrs to guide me through my studies ( checklists, professional associations and YouTube channels). Also, the questions were more difficult in this book. Don't get discouraged if you miss a few the author helps you to think critically as HR professionals. I spend my weekends in the library enjoying this book

I LOVE this book- there is nothing else like it out on the market. The point of it is to provide a road map to studying. It doesn’t cover every little bit of the exam content but rather gave me tons of ideas on where to go to study outside the traditional channels of just a textbook. This is super helpful for me as I don’t learn well just by sitting down and reading straight from a book. I used it to supplement my other materials and to figure out my pass strategy based on my strengths and weaknesses. Just passed my exam this month!!

Start Flash CS3 With This Book

This book covers Flash CS3 very thoroughly. There are many useful features in CS3 than just the Actionscript alone, and this book covers them very well. From animation techniques to video audio tricks to programming a full on application, it has everything I need to begin building with CS3. If the weight of the book alone doesn't show you how much information is packed into this book, it also comes with a CD-ROM with tons of files I can use to experiment. CS3 is a huge upgrade and knowing the tools and features will take you further and make it easier for the developer. If you are going to start with anything in CS3, start with this book.

Old Information, Waste of Money

I was very disappointed in this book. There is little to no coverage of Actionscript 3.0 which is a major overhaul from previous versions of Actionscript. Waste of money! Will probably confuse more than educate about adding even simple AS code to Flash CS3 projects.

Some good parts, some not so good

I liked this book, overall, but 2 things really bothered me. The beginning when Natasha kept changing wigs was so stupid! Everybody knew who she was, no matter what wig she was wearing! She didn't even bother to deny who she was or pretend to be someone else. It was just a dumb part of the book that didn't fit into the overall smart mystery.

I get people like Christian fiction and I get why this needed to be a Christian fiction book. This was a little over the top though, and probably the only thing that prevents me from buying more from this series. Natasha calls Derek and Benjamin "assassins" and can't reconcile herself with that; 3 pages later, she's signing up to be one of them! A lighter hand with the religion would have been more effective.

Became addicted!

Felicia Mires plops the reader into a world of terrorism and spies, where faith can conquer all evil. Wonderfully written book with a strong female lead. All of Mires' books are worth the read and the money. They are clean and can be recommended to anyone who enjoys a good story with religious principles, a sweet love story, and a bit of adventure.
The rest of the series is as good as this book. I became addicted and would love to read more books in this series!

An unexpected ride!

Terrorism, spies, and faith aren’t the usual bill of fare for a book about a young woman who in the beginning seems to be a ‘sort of chick flick’ kind of gal. Then again maybe her changing her looks is about... And that’s just the beginning of discovering who Natasha Kelly is and why that famous movie star hunk with his raised eyebrow seems to has his eye on her. A fast paced story of faith, and the promise of love set against a backdrop where being found isn’t an option, readers will find this a book to be a MUST read NOW e-ticket ride.

Artfully weaving snippets of the history of ‘Eretz Yisrael’ The Land of Israel, I found this story somewhat reminiscent of works by James Michener, and Leon Uris.

Yes, author, Felicia Mires’ took me on an unexpected ride! If you, like me, look forward to the return of Yeshua HaMashiach – Jesus our Messiah to the land of his birth, and love Gods Word, I know you will feel the same way once you’ve gobbled up “Diamonds Are For Eden’.

This is probably the worst text book I've ever read. The writing is terrible. It reads like something that was written in a foreign language and then poorly translated. The sentences are extremely long winded without having much actual content.

Horrible garbage. Buzz word after buzz word. You will learn nothing. I could have written this book at the age of four with a list of buzz words and a thesaurus as well as utilizing random management concepts.

DOPO LA DISCO MUSIC, VENNE L'ITALO DISCO (MUSIC).

Con l’arrivo degli anni ’80 la disco-music di marca statunitense, che aveva gi� abdicato da tempo ad appannaggio dell’Eurodisco, appariva come una sbiadita copia di se stessa. Mentre gli Inglesi avevano preferito deviare verso un formato sempre pi� vicino al pop, i Tedeschi, assillati dall'avanzata della new-wave, si erano lasciati irretire da complicate commistioni sonore, fatte di elettronica e krauti-rock. Dal canto loro gli Spagnoli si mostravano inadeguati alle nuove sfide del mercato, cos� come i Francesi apparivano scialbi, obsoleti e privi di idee, mentre i soli a sfruttare il vento del cambiamento, traendone profitto, furono gli Italiani. Sia pure bistrattati da certa critica spocchiosa e liquidati con la riduttiva definizione di spaghetti-dance, i produttori italici della prima ora, per molti anni, riuscirono a tenere in mano lo scettro delle charts disco-dance Europee e mondiali. Le produzioni italo-disco avevano il pregio di essere imperniate su ariose melodie, sovente caratterizzate da un “refrain” a presa rapida e giocate su armonie vicine al pop di facile ascolto, i cui ritmi scarni ed essenziali, risultavano assai propedeutici alla dilagante mania del mixing che in quegli anni, grazie ad una discreta evoluzione del giradischi, sembrava essere un diktat per ogni provetto DJ. Pur basate, su testi inglesi dal sapore vagamente scolastico e pronunce talvolta improbabili, le pubblicazioni delle etichette italiane avevano una forte analogia con taluni prodotti del “New-Romantic” britannico, le cui sonorit� rarefatte e largamente melodiche spesso si confondevano con quelle marca italica. Infine, l’utilizzo appena accennato delle tecnologie elettroniche e quell’aria di frivola leggerezza, talvolta autoironica, stabiliva una sorta di “continuum” privilegiato con la primigenia Eurodisco, tanto da diventare presto un fenomeno dominante nelle classifiche di mezzo mondo, delineando, oltremodo, uno stile inconfondibile, spesso imitato in ogni landa del pianeta Terra.
