Terrific addition to the series.

## Good read. OK, I only gave this book 4 stars because I felt somewhat lost at the beginning of the story. Julian and Kristen obviously had history but I didn't know what it was. I needed more back story there. It really frustrated me. I felt like I came in half way through the story. Apparently they knew each other at least a year because they talked about seeing each other the Christmas prior. Maybe their interactions were in the last book, but I read that months ago. It really took me out of the story. At 35% in, I finally put the book down because my frustration was mounting. I picked it back up today and finished it.
I must say, I really loved the rest of it. The hero and heroine had marvelous chemistry. The story was both sweet and sexy.
Jan's writing style is superb as usual. Looking forward to Xander's book next.

Great Addition to the Series

This was a great addition to the Sinclair series.
I've enjoyed watching Julian and Kristin sparring for the last couple of books. I don't think Julian was far off the mark when he called their little jabs at each other "foreplay".
It was quite obvious from their first meeting, they had chemistry.
That chemistry finally bubbles over when Julian kidnaps Kristin to attend his brothers wedding to her good friend. A much needed break for both of them in "Sin City". What happens in Vegas, doesn't always stay in Vegas. With a little too much alcohol and her defenses down, she comes home to Maine married to the handsome actor.
They agree to a three month trial, and then Julian will arrange for their divorce. She looks at the three months as Julians chance to finally come to his senses and realize they have nothing in common. He sees it as his chance to convince Kristin they were always meant to be together. His other half, his soulmate.
I loved Julian, and learning more about his past. Kristin's constant degrading of herself did get a bit old after awhile. But they were a good match for each other.
This was a fun quick read. No angst, no cheating, no cliffhanger. It can be read as a standalone, but I highly recommended the earlier books to fill in some of the back stories.
I'm really looking forward to Xander's story. He really needs some happy in his life.

Does What happens in Vegas, really stay in Vegas?

I have to say the title of the book says it all, but only at the beginning. While Julian is somewhat overpowering and definitely used to getting his way, you can't control matters of the heart.
Kristin and Julian seem to fight every time they see each other, and the day before his eldest brother's wedding is no exception. Overriding Kristin's every objection with a suitable solution, he leaves her no choice but to travel with him to Vegas to see her friend marry his brother as he affectionately calls their arguing 'foreplay'.
Kristin never relaxes and being in Vegas she lets her hair down and her inhibitions as well. Now we all know 'What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas', unfortunately that is not always the case. Sometimes what happens follows you home even if you aren't aware of it.
A negotiation worthy of a peace treaty has to take place before Kristin agrees to give the marriage thing a shot.
A page turner for sure, as Julian and Kristin maneuver around all the stumbling blocks in the way of their relationship. Plenty of sizzling sex has Kristin wondering if that's all it is, or can she trust her heart.
