This is the author's introduction, so bias concerns may be justified ;)

The publication describes the design of the Tx predistortion system developed for 6-9GHz 0.13 CMOS commercial Ultrawideband chip.
The system allows increasing the linear Tx RF power with minimal DC power and system complexity implications. The predistortion linearization approach is tailored to the cost/power constraints of the commercial Ultra-wide band single chip product.

Convincing, but ultimately a sham

TL;DR: Read this website: http://www.johntreed.com/Kiyosaki.html and you will see why Robert Kiyosaki is not a good resource on personal wealth management. This whole "Rich Dad Poor Dad" debacle is, however, a great lesson in detecting garbage advice-giving companies that are only out for their own self-interests.

I think it should be concerning to potential buyers that most of the recent 5-star reviews are overly short, vague, and look likely to have been solicited to artificially improve this book's rating. I have no proof of this, but it is suspicious.

In any event, I can see why people are drawn into this book and the Rich Dad company that Robert Kiyosaki has built for himself. I consider myself financially savvy, and even I found myself drawn into his works. The general ideas sounded great, and lined up nicely with what I have been learning over the years in teaching myself how to manage my money. Additionally, the whole book is given a great big vote of confidence by "rich dad," Kiyosaki's personal financial advisor and super-successful father to his childhood friend.

The problem is, there is no rich dad. Everything about how Kiyosaki had this childhood mentor who taught him all these great life lessons about personal wealth is a work of fantasy. Here is an exact quote from Kiyosaki himself when pressed by SmartMoney Magazine about who rich dad really was: "Is Harry Potter real? Why don’t you let Rich Dad be a myth, like Harry Potter?" He boasts of several major real estate flips of which there are no public records. He also claims to buy the majority of small companies right before their share price sky rockets, then makes big money on the proceeds. Except, anyone that owns more than 5% of any publicly traded company is required to report the sale to the SEC. Kiyosaki's name is not on any of these reports. There is also a large pile of evidence that Kiyosaki became wealthy only after this book and his subsequent line of financial-advice products became best-sellers. To be sure, that is one way to get rich, but it is notably absent from the rest of his "profound" advice.

Admittedly, he does have some good points. Ones that I personally think are worth remembering for anyone trying to build their personal wealth are: Learn how to make your money work for you through wise investments, understand your tax obligations and ways to (legally!) reduce your tax liability, failure is all part of the process, and school (and a sad number of parents) will leave you woefully unprepared to manage your personal finances so you'll have to learn about this area of your life on your own. That last sentence is pretty much all that can be gleaned from this book, and all of it you'd probably figure out on your own anyway.

This book is utterly, utterly ridiculous. It tells you absolutely nothing useful but is full of bizarre unsubstantiated theories about the world. I suppose self help books tend to be like that. But I'd expected a bit more given that this one is so highly recommended by people.

Eye Opening

This book has changed my life, I have lost my fear and greed (desire) and WILL put these ideas into action, I will continue to learn, study and will invest a lot more into myself, my only problem and my only solution.

I've seen this book get a one star rating, I can't understand why, if you truly 'open (change) your mind' understand the concepts being presented, you will know what he is saying is right. But if you are like everyone else, you will resist change, complain that it was a waste of time and stay doing what you are doing, and expecting a different outcome, which is the definition of - Insanity.

Marcelo Garciais a five-time Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu World Champion and a four-time ADCC Submission Wrestling World Champion. He has competed and taught jiu-jitsu all over the world.

It's easy to pigeon-hole Marcelo Garcia - the guy is the Thomas Edison of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.

A five-time BJJ World Champion and a four-time ADCC Submission Grappling World Champion, Marcelo is the man to study if you want to elevate your game to the penthouse level of grappling.

Garcia's motto appears to be, if it's not broken, fix it anyway - it can always be better. It's this constant quest for improvement that has enabled him to remain the best of the best.

The Forward by child chess prodigy Josh Waitzkin is also a very informative and enjoyable read, although including Marcelo's email address in the book may not have been Josh's best `move'.

Of Garcia, Waitzkin says "Marcelo's repertoire is in a constant state of evolution, and experimentation is a key part of his process - he is often playing with things around the edges of his arsenal, testing, pushing his boundaries. This is part of how his game always tends to be one step ahead of his opponents"

Excellent instruction from one of the best

In the world of Brazilian Jiu-jitsu, Marcelo Garcia needs no introduction. If you happened upon this title by perhaps searching for grappling books and are unfamiliar with his reputation, I'll explain it thusly: Garcia is a phenom. He is the type of BJJ practitioner that makes other black belts who have dedicated their lives to BJJ look like they haven't trained a day in their life when they compete against him. A cursory search on Youtube for Garcia's matches bears out this fact.

However, being an exceptional practitioner doesn't necessarily translate to an ability to convey that in an instructional manual. There are books out there by a great number of BJJ experts that are not successful in translating their expertise to the regular training Joe. That is not the case with this book. Garcia, with the help of Marshal Carper and Glen Cordoza, has been able to break down many of the techniques that make him a multi BJJ World Champion. Additionally, he provides the strategies behind the techniques that make them so successful, which, in my opinion, is even more valuable.

This book succeeds for several reasons. First, like many Victory Belt publications, the photography captures the techniques from both the typical and reverse angles. BJJ has been called a game of inches, and it is critical to see the positions of all the limbs in action during a technique. Second, the quality of the writing is top-notch. Often in martial arts books, the text takes a far back seat to the photography, much to the detriment of the overall instruction. Not the case here; it is well written and a pleasure to read. Third, much like Marcelo's game itself, it focuses on several key techniques: arm drags, back control, takedowns, guard passes and submissions. The techniques themselves are not what make this an "advanced" book; the focus on offense and the philosophy and strategies Garcia employs to make these techniques successful are what makes this a book for the serious BJJ artist. For a practitioner like myself, who is far more interested in the concepts and intricacies of BJJ than learning some esoteric maneuver, it is an ideal book to elevate my game. Highly recommended.

A must have book for all BJJ / submission grapplers.

Advanced Brazilian Jiu-jitsu Techniques by Marcello Garcia is another great title to be added to the grapplers library. Where as his first book, The X Guard, was very specific to one particular element of Garcia's style, ABJJT includes a broader approach to the art.
Anyone who has seen Marcelo Garcia compete can tell you he has a high technical ability and it shows in the book. The photos hit all the key points of the techniques and the text compliments and explains the nuances perfectly. Garcia is not a physically imposing fighter so the tiny details he shows in the book help explain how he got to the top of the grappling food chain.
My favorite part of the book (thus far) is the chapters on submissions. Garcia covers them all...chokes, armbars, omoplatas, and how to transition from one to another. Marcelo is an extremely fluid fighter so it is a safe bet that if he shows it, he has trial tested it in competition.
This book gets a five star rating. ABJJT and Jiu-jitsu University by Saulo Ribeiro would be a great combo for anyone looking to start BJJ or take their grappling game to a higher level.
