The Origins of Winnie with Beautiful Illustrations and Storyline! Superbly Done! Well Worth It! AAA+++

Purchased this for my nephew, which is six years old. He absolutely loved the book, the illustrations and the whole concept of the origins of Winnie the Pooh. This book follows Winnie from his origins of being found in Ontario all through the various stages of how Winnie came to be Winnie, that we know and love!

He loved the watercolored illustrations and it was really well done throughout the book, ending in photos from the original storylines.

This is a must have book for all younger kids! AAA+++

I've added some pics of the beautiful illustrations and ending photos for you to see what I mean, when I say it's really well done.

Wonderful addition to any child's library

This is a beautiful book with a very touching story. I love Caldecott books; they never disappoint. The cute story, connection to real events, memorable artwork, and realia in the back of the book make this book a winner.
I gave this to my 6-year-old niece with a stuffed, black bear cub because I am the worlds greatest Uncle.
Everyone was very impressed with this book, the bear, and my awesomeness.

Such an Amazing Book

I absolutely love this book. It is such a neat and interesting book. I purchased this book for a class; we had to write a paper about a children's picture book. I was browsing through books and I saw this and saw that it had an award, so I chose it. I fell in love with this book after reading it. It is a book that I can share with my niece and my fututre children. I would highly recommend it to anyone. I love the idea behind the book. The book actually has different stories within it, while telling one of the most important stories of all time; the bear who inspired Winnie the Pooh. The illustrations in this book are absolutely stunning and gorgeous. I also love that at the end of the book there are the actual photos of Winnie.

The OT Bible for Physical Dysfunction

I'm in OT school right now and this is our bible for interventions concerning physical dysfunction. I know in a beautiful world without production quotas we would all look up meta-analysis studies before working with each patient, but this give you a quick run down of the most important things to do, look for, and not do. I will be buying the revised edition whenever it comes out.

this is actually a really good textbook. We use many books in our program that are really dry and do not provide case study examples. This text makes it easier to understand the topics because of the "extra" information throughout the chapters: references, case studies, etc.

Great for Students or Adults

As a Youth Pastor, I first review books and Bible studies before I give them to my students. This study was very good for my own life and now that I've given it to some of my student leaders, they are growing spiritually.

A few of the things they enjoy are the daily reinforcement of the weekly verse and how it stays fresh in their minds the whole week. The passages they have been reading are familiar, however they did not think of them in light of leadership.

Recommend this study for anyone in leadership or thinking about it.

What a wonderful book! Mark Robinson does an excellent job of creating mental images of the sights, sounds, and aromas of the Japanese izakaya -eating/drinking pubs. Typically smaller, locally owned and operated, these restaurant/bars are unique and endearing. Well written with vivid descriptions and beautiful photographs by Masashi Kuma I could almost taste the cuisine and hear the laughter. Having lived and worked in Tokyo and Toyotashi (yes, the home of Toyota トヨタ自動車) I have been privileged to visit many izakaya. Whether or not you've been to an izakaya in Japan or in the USA or elsewhere I'm sure you will enjoy this book. If you haven't already been, then make plans now. You'll be greeted with a warm

Taste the real, everyday Japan - definitely a classic

Everyone who's ever been to Japan could tell you anecdotes about their best meal there in a tiny, off-the-beaten-track traditional inn. Obviously, closed-minded people who think that Indians eat curry, Americans eat burgers, and Japanese eat sushi, will have carefully avoided eating in such "not in NY times reviews" places, and that's the whole point of this book. Having lived for a year there (and been there another dozen times), I had the chance to discover these fantastic traditional eateries, with original, uncommon, and incredible house recipes: the Izakaya. Obviously, most of them have no English menu nor does anyone there speak a single word of English - which is why they are hard to access for tourists, and this book recreates the atmosphere of such places: nice locals that will start talking to you (in Japanese), the sake pouring wild, fresh beer with crunchy bits of fried never-heard-of parts of even-less-heard-of animals (or is it?) that taste incredibly good. These recipes are simple and mostly quick, none of the fancy/schmoozy elaborations of Nobu or Morimoto. Everyday items that you can cook at home (obviously Japanese stores nearby and access to fresh seafood will help).

The book itself is gorgeous, with great photos that recreate the ambiance and mood in the various "favorites" of the author, this is much more than a cookbook. It's almost an ethnographic study about these gems that make the Japanese food scene so varied, so colorful, so alive. This book was born out of the passion of his author, and you can feel his enthusiasm on every page, which makes it grasping. If you've ever been to Japan with friends yet felt that, somehow, you missed a chance to eat something really local, really unique, really Japanese that no tourist alone would have found on its own, this book is for you then.

Granted, I do have a fetish for Japanese food (and have a pretty abnormal collection of Japanese cookbooks), but this one stands out as informative, visually pleasant, original (as in I've never found another book on this topic), and especially filled with simple recipes you can try at home with little effort. Definitely worth every buck!

Great book about the world's best drinking spots

Izakayas are the greatest pubs in the world. But unlike say Irish pubs or German beer halls, they don't follow the same global template. Menus vary widely, and the vibe can range from rowdy blue collar to epicurean ultra-chic. Mark Robinson's achievement here is demystifying the topic (along with recipes, the book covers history, culture, etiquette, and a list of great izakaya to check out) in a way that enhances its magical appeal.

Outdated Material

Considering this is the 'Official' book for the certifications, it needs to be updated to version 2 though I would skip that and do a full rewrite of the material if I was the publisher. The online resources are no longer valid and most of the tools referenced have been EOL for several years. Don't expect to learn anything but theory in this book because most of the technologies have evolved and patched. The C|EH exam is up to version 8 and 5 years on the Internet is a lifetime for most technology.

Look elsewhere

I have all 5, I bought them for a class, and they are terrible. They are poorly written, horribly outdated, and the production values are nonexistent. Many of the pictures and diagrams look like they were photocopied and taped into the book, and there is no coherent progression of the information. Each tidbit of information is given in an arbitrary order with no rhyme or reason; there's no "flow" from one thing to the next, just random factoids. And when I say outdated, much of the information is at LEAST 10 years old, and there is little mention of any of the new developments, even things that happened a couple years before the time of printing. If you need these for a class, get other books to supplement these. If you're just interested in the subject, look elsewhere.

NO REFLOW on kindle

This is not your typicall kindle version where you can reflow the text to suit your level of vision. The pages do not reorient correctly. So just from a readable standpoint don't waste your time with the Kindle version.
